The Paul C. Boyle Award for Excellence in Student Research is awarded annually to a program student in the School of Health Information Sciences for individual research. The award is named after the late SHIS graduate student and fellow Biomachina laboratory member Paul Boyle, M.S.

SHIS graduate student Mirabela Rusu, M.S., was selected by a panel of SHIS judges including faculty, alumni, and fellow students. Congratulations to Mirabela for her award-winning poster “Biomolecular Pleiomorphism Probed by Spatial Interpolation” that was first presented at the 51st Biophysical Society Meeting, March 3-7, 2007, in Baltimore.

The award was presented to Mirabela at the May 3, 2007 SHIS Commencement ceremony.
