Rusu Wins Boyle Award for Excellence in Student Research

Boyle Award for
Excellence in Student Research is awarded annually to a
program student in the School of Health Information Sciences for
individual research. The award is
named after the late SHIS graduate student and fellow Biomachina laboratory
member Paul
Boyle, M.S.
SHIS graduate student Mirabela Rusu, M.S., was selected by a
panel of SHIS judges including faculty, alumni, and
fellow students. Congratulations to Mirabela for her
award-winning poster “Biomolecular Pleiomorphism Probed by Spatial Interpolation”
that was first presented at the 51st
Biophysical Society Meeting, March 3-7, 2007, in Baltimore.
The award was
presented to Mirabela at the May 3, 2007 SHIS Commencement ceremony.
